As we re-open, we want to address any concerns you may have prior to your next visit and assure you that we are following required guidelines to ensure the safest possible working environment for all of our guest.  We have performed all the cleaning, sanitation and distancing procedures required by these guidelines. In addition, we have implemented and adhere to the on-going practice of strict sanitation and cleanliness procedures to ensure the good health and safety of all salon staff and guests.

 

We need your help to continue with our new guidelines. We ask that you reschedule if you are feeling ill in any way.  No other guest will be able to accompany you during your visit. Please limit the amount of items you bring with you. When arriving for you appointment, stay outside until we come get you. Please wear a mask that fits behind your ears, we will also be wearing masks. If you come to your appointment without a mask, we will not be able to complete the service but you will be charged the full price for your scheduled appointment.

 

Once entering the salon, wash your hands in the bathroom.  At this time we will not be offering beverages, you know this is going to kill Katie! All magazines have been removed and we will be taking payment at our stations.

 

For our color guests, please come to your appointment with freshly shampoo'd and dried hair (from that day). Also it has been a much longer time than usual between your appointments which means we will have to use more product than usual. There will be an additional $25 charge for any additional bowl of product needed to complete your service. 

 

We will not be providing any facial waxing services at this time.

 

This is uncharted waters for us. We have decided at this time we are only scheduling the first week to see how things go. We have had to change the way we schedule to allow time for cleaning and keeping everyone within the social distancing regulations. If you have an appointment already scheduled, we are doing our best to keep pre-scheduled appointments. We may have to adjust the time to abide by the new guidelines.

Please know that ALL of you mean so much to us and we know we owe all of our success to YOU. We want to continue to provide you with a safe environment and a great experience. Once we have a better understanding how things are going to work we will continue scheduling. 

 

We can not wait to see you all and get to our new normal!

     We don't know about you, but we can hardly wait to see you sitting in our chairs and that day is getting close!

 

We want to thank all of our wonderful guests for their understanding and patience during these hard times. We will be making all necessary preparations to start seeing our guests in the safest way possible. 

 

Katie and I will be contacting all of our guests that have missed appointments to reschedule. We ask that you continue to be patient with us, as we have many of you that need to be seen. Please know that if we have not contacted you yet, we will be reaching out to you shortly to get you scheduled.

 

Please be on the lookout for an email from us regarding full details about what you can expect for your next appointment for we have strict guidelines that we/you MUST follow!

     It feels so surreal to share that we are having to close for the next 30 days due to the recent order mandated by the Governor of Virginia. We are heart-broken over this…however, we are so grateful to all who have reached out and offered us your amazing support. We can't tell you how much this means to us!  

Being a small business during this time is going to be tough but we will Rise and be stronger! We’re going to take this time to think, reflect, grow and learn. We are creating new ways to make Polished Salon & Spa better than it’s ever been. We can't wait to reconnected with all of you again.

We will be doing curbside pick-up next week on Wednesday April 1 from 10am-12am and 4pm-6pm. We will also doing porch drop off in the Newport News, Yorktown, and Poquoson areas on Wednesday April 1. If this doesn't work for you reach out to us and we will work it out!

     It went from something that seemed to be happening far away to a global pandemic that has moved into our communities and is impacting every aspects of our lives. 

We are now facing uncharted times where throughout the country local authorities are taking drastic measures to fight against the expansion of this virus.

Our first concern is the health and safety of our staff, our guests, and our community. With heavy hearts we have decided to closed Polished Salon & Spa temporarily until further notice. This was not an easy decision for us to make, as we know you look forward to your appointments. We apologize for the inconvenience that this causes. At the end of the week our team will reassess the situation and will be contacting you to reschedule any appointments during this time.  We will continue to check our voicemail and email so please feel free to reach out with any concerns you may have.
